his is an example of one of my earlier approaches to Eisenstein's vertical montage.
Not having done any research on what vertical montage is and barely remembering who Eisenstein is, I story boarded this montage based on a lecture by Tim Everitt about making & breaking patterns. I designed a rhythm for my patterns in cutting here based on graphic analysis of japanese calligraphy.
